I spent a couple of hours this weekend shooting around a marsh. I played with my exposures to achieve the color of snow I liked (+2/3). I hoped that the cat tails in the foreground would give some extra life to the photo. I like the B&W feeling for the stillness of winter. Comments appreciated.

Shot at: 1/0.3, f/14, Exp. Comp.(+2/3), ISO100

Could do with a spot more contrast - IMHO.

Looks a little dull, but I like the leaves in the front.

Thanks for the comments. I found that I lose detail in the trees with more contrast. Dull (desolate/winter) is what I felt when taking the photo (and very cold too!).

Alan, if you can get back to the same scene, then maybe try dropping the camera level down to make the forground plants the full height of the frame... just an option to try and make it more interesting.
