I've got a Sony VAIO Notebook (PCG-K33) that seems to really drain the battery quick. I don't know if this is typical of newer notebooks (the last one I owned was 5 yrs ago), but it just seems that I should get more battery life. Under typical use I get maybe an hour to 1.5 hrs out of the battery. Anybody have any tricks for increasing the batt. life? I already dim the screen unless I'm processing photos.

thanks,
daniel

I have one similar to yours and 1.5hrs out of the battery is about right.

sorry bro, your battery is just like every other sony vaio battery *cough* S*** *cough*. I looked around ebay for an aftermarket battery and it solved my problem. Also look for a battery that has a higher mAH rating than your current one. make sure the voltage is hte same though... that way it will last longer too. Mine calls for a 1600 I got a 3000 and it lasts me long enough. Other tips are keep the brightness of the screen down, dont run many programs, dont have any preferials, if your not using your extra bay(if you have one) take the device out (saves weight too). And make sure to fully decharge and recharge your battery full at least once a month to make sure it has a good charge. Hope it helps.
