#1 is one of those pictures that you look at after you take it, and it makes you realize why you put so much effort into taking a good photo. Sounds kind of corny, but it almost made me emotional. It is up there with one of my favorite pictures i have ever taken. It's is exactly how it came off the camera, along with all the other ones as well. I try not to edit unless I absolutely have too.

The light setup was two sunpak 5000's triggered with elinchrom skyports. they are on my 8 foot light stands so one was to the right hitting the rider, and the other one was lighting up the face of the jump. I love the texture of packed clay, and I spent a long time trying to get it right. The photo is actually un edited, even the lens flare on his rim. Don't ask me how that happened, but it did. i actually thought about fixing it, but I liked how it turned out just as it is. the camera is my trusty ol 10d. and the lens is my 17-40L.
