Cool- it's amazing, all the places we could go if we had heaps of cash. It'd be fun to trade a day at Cradle Mountain for a day in the Tetons or Sedona.
Thanks guys- I'm off to look at your galleries now! :-)

Cradle Mountain Tasmania is very good! I was there a few years ago. In general Australia is filled to the brim..I took thousands of photos during my two weeks. And they are my best work to date, and only had my 5D a couple of weeks before I left.
Cairns Australia was stunning too..the Great Barrier Reef from a helicopter was just stunning. Also many of the parks around Sydney had amazing trees that really caught my eye.

I like your list, 4 out of five Victorian says something! Though I'm in Brissy now I worked for years at Falls Creek and now that I've got a half decent kit I can't wait to get back and shoot the heck out of the area. Mt Mackay out the back of Sun Valley ski area at falls is awesome. (and I don't mind sharing, no one is ever going to have the same kit, at the same time, on the same day with the same vision for a shot are they?)

Came back from New Zealand [still in the Singapore Airport for now posting this post] and i can say that South Island of New Zealand is all whata landscape photographer need, plenty of things to photography, really so stunning and breathtaking scenes over there, and i didn't get enough opportunity to do something.
My another best locations for landscape in the world can be as following:
UK [Mostly Scotland]

I'm going to agree with Tasmania. I've been to alot of places all over the world and I still think it's one of the most amazing I've ever seen. On par would be Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland which is amazing in Spring.
Top 5 would be (in no particular order)
Tasmania (Cradle Mountain)
Cambodia (Some of the temples are amazing)
Holland (The fields and rivers only 20 mins from Amsterdam are so green and picture perfect, as well as the small towns with immaculate gardens and quaint houses)
Colorado (I went on a sled out into the backcountry near Aspen. Awesome views)
Switzerland (Lauterbrunnen, the most picturesque valley I have ever seen. Beautiful green grass, a perfect stream and Swiss chalets all dwarfed by 800m high cliffs on either side. And to make you feel even smaller look above the cliffs and you see the daunting Alps high above the clouds looking down on you. We were incredibly lucky and had some of the best visibility they've had in years according to our friend who lived there, and my camera stopped working on the train ride into interlaken...)

Just about anywhere in CO
+1 (but I'm very biased)
Colorado has some pretty amazing landscapes. Photographing alpine lakes in Rocky Mt. National Park is one of my favorites because it's so close, but other areas like Aspen (Maroon Bells), Telluride, Glenwood Canyon, Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, Mesa Verde NP, Great Sand Dunes NP, Dinosaur National Monument, and anywhere along the San Juan Skyway scenic loop (Durango, Silverton, Ouray, etc.). There are just so many places! If you need some ideas google John Fielder -- he's photgraphed everything in Colorado.
Besides Colorado, some of my other faves in the US:
1) Just about anywhere in Utah - Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, Zion NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Capitol Reef NP, Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument, Dead Horse Point State Park, etc.
2) California - Yosemite NP, Sequoia & Kings Canyon NP, Joshua Tree NP, Death Valley NP, etc.
3) Other western US states - Wyoming (Yellowstone NP, Grand Teton NP), South Dakota (Badlands NP), Montana (Glacier NP), Arizona, New Mexico, Washington, Oregon (Crater Lake NP), etc.
4) Hawaii
5) Maine
I would mention Florida too, but I grew up there and it's nothing special to me as I'm more of a mountain/forest person than a beach/ocean person. The Florida Keys are nice though.
Some international spots I liked:
1) Vietnam - Ha Long Bay, China Beach
2) Scotland
3) Peru
Haven't been to Switzerland, New Zealand, etc. I need to go!

- Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
- Vancouver, BC
- Angkor Wat, Cambodia
I would have to agree with shaftmaster. CO is one of the most scenic and beautiful places in the lower 48. I love living in Denver and making trips out into the Rockies and San Juan Mountains.

We are going back in two months :D As for JF, I picked up his book a month or so ago about CO ;) We are staying in westminster, but are planning on going through Estes/RMNP again, Pike's Pike again, GOG (didn't get to do that last time), Vail/Breckenridge, and probably Aspen/Maroon Bells. We'll be there 9 days, and I can't wait. I also can't wait to take some shots with my new 5DM2 instead of the wife's SD850IS  I'm hoping to get a few good shots at least :o

Very nice! I have to say, no area in the lower 48 matches the Yellowstone and Glacier ecosystems (Montana and NW Wyoming). It has the best wildlife, the most wilderness, and the most unique looking mountain ranges. A nature photographer's dream.

Living SW Utah makes this a difficult choice. :) I like the following areas, depending on the time of year:
Zion N.P. - Mostly the East side and Kolob Terr sections
Tushar Mtns/Fishlake N.F. - unreal in the Fall
Red Cliffs/Snow Canyon: very photogenic
Parowan, UT: the canyons in this area, including Dry Lakes Rd and Cedar Breaks N.M. Way to beat the heat in Summer
Bryce Canyon/Escalante/Torrey: Amazing scenery, includes Capitol Reef N.P. and the area around Escalante

1. Yellowstone National Park - I've never been anywhere that has more to offer than this. I've spent a week there every summer for the past three years, and I am going back in August for another week. I haven't even scratched the surface of what is available to see/photograph.
2. Grand Teton National Park - If I was wealthy enough, I would live in Jackson WY.
3. Canadian Rockies - The Canadian Rockies are the most spectacular piece of land on earth in my opinion. I've been to this area twice; too bad I need a passport to go back again.
4. Mt. Rainier National Park
5. Eastern Sierra
