I have been operating my humble digital photography buisness for the past ten months, cruising right along, getting by just fine with a 28-135 IS and a Tamron 28-75 f/2.8. And then one day out of nowhere you discover the fine gentleman of POTN have wore you down and you don't even see it coming. Yes I'm talking the L word. I purchased a 17-40 today  so I just wanted to thank everyone for their help.

Once you tire of the Kraft dinners in a box, I have a few recipes for ramen noodles.
For those fancy dinners when you can afford to splurge or are cooking for a date, I have some downright amazing Spam recipes. Who said I wouldn't learn anything important while in college?

Once you've been to L and back, you'll discover that lenses without that red ring just don't quite measure up. I know, check my signature.

I recently aquired another Pro1 {actually missed my first one as a carry around} and after playing around with it I started to realize that as long as the shooting conditions were good the little L was kicking my 10D's butt with lesser lenses. So today the 17-40, in a couple of weeks the 70-200 f/4, and then as Buzz Lightyear would say, AND BEYOND!
P.S. I forgot to mention in my first post that my wife does not wish to convey her apreciation to the forum members as I have.:D :D :D :D

mikesd,
Congrats on the new addition. Remember, you can do a lot with ramen noodles!

Good move!
Remember, you can always eat the foam peanuts that the lens comes packed in. Don't microwave them, though.

Just think of the future ahead of you, all the money you will not need to manage:lol:
Once your into the L, you can start looking at DO for a change in colour (and weight).
Then there is the high end flash units.
Then studio lighting.
Then good tripods.
