Hey POTNers!
I have posted this pic before of Rachel getting a bath in the sink.....added a texture and now I am addicted! I found a great place for free textures on Flickr, so if you are interested.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/playingwithpsp/sets/72157604052440248/

Clicked on the link and saw the textures...dumb question, how do I download them to PSP?

hmmm..is that Playstation Portable or Paint Shop Pro? lol...What I do is make a folder labeled "Textures" inside my "Pictures" folder and save all my textures there and when I want to use one..just open the folder in Photoshop and select whichever texture I want and drag it to whichever picture I want to use it with. I don't know if there is a way of saving it in PS or PSP. Unless, maybe you can save it as a pattern, but I'm not sure if you can do that in PSP or if that would even work in PS.
Nice picture!! I have to start getting into textures a little more!

I like it! I really love textures, but I never seem to find the perfect photo for them. It works here. :)

this looks more like a border than a texture. portraits like this generally are not good subjects for texture.

Tami-Your website is beautiful! Your photography is amazing!! Thank you for the comment, although I have to say I really do think this texture works on this portrait. All the same, thank you for the feedback! You are right, it does look like a border.......there was not a lot of detail in the middle of this texture.

One nitpick, but it looks as though you can stretch the texture a bit more to fill the rest of the picture. If you notice you see the texture and right at the side of it you see the picture without the texture that shows you didn't pull the texture to fill the entire image. Nothing big, but I'm not sure if you noticed or not :)

the fact that the portrait has a lot of black on the side covers up the border/texture and gives it too much of an uneven look - try some textures on photos that have a more even/lighter tone to them and you will see a big difference. i know your loving the texture on this photo, do some experimenting and you will see the difference it makes.
good luck and keep us posted!
