First you have 2 cute kids & a pretty wife...that said, composition for me is nice on each of these. I would brighten them up a little (I'm pretty sure the last little fella has very nice bright eye's?) then the 2nd shot is a little soft, but that could be my screen.
keep it up!

2nd shot is soft, but with these guys, you have to be fast.
How would you recommend that I brighten up his eyes. They are very blue.....
I have been using LR and PS more and more LR. I like LR more on the mac instead of the PC. I am getting tired of the PC in more ways than one!

You need to get yourself some flash unit..it will perk up those lower light situations;)

I adore the second shot of the wee one looking off camera (love the others too but that one really caught my eye)
Can't think of anything i would change except possibly up the contrast a touch.
You have a very beautiful family.

thank you, I don't know how I did it, well, I do but I think you know where I am coming from. I am very lucky. All of my boys are good boys and I am so proud that they are mine....
Thank you for the kind words.
I am afraid of overdoing it when I am touching them up. Now that I have LR, I think I will be doing a little more than I normally would.
My monitor is not calibrated and I am printing straight form LR. Much easier and more consistent results I am using PS less and less every time I process a shoot.

i do have flash, I need to use it more. I am still learning and trying.
If I had used a flash, it would have been outdoors, should I have bounced it, or fired it directly at him to get better light and show his eyes a little more?

If it is in camera flash, direct would fill in the spots..external, or hot shoe I would bounce.depends what was around you?

Actually, these are some nice takes....just learn Photoshop a bit more, how to use curves and such. Just bump up the lighting in PS and you've got a real nice image. I'm trying to use flash too...not to good myself yet, so I'm learning right along with you. Nice photos!
