I am wondering how people get those pictures of dewdrops sparkling. This morning my mutabilis rose was "frosted" with dew and the sun was shining like a million jewels on it, enough so that the stems looked like they were outlined in blazing drops of sunlight. But when I took the pictures, blah! None of the sparkles showed up. I know my pictures were not good at all and most actually turned out overexposed with flare, dull-looking at the same time; but I'd like to know how to capture what my eye sees? Shooting with Rebel XT, Tamron 28-75mm f2.8, P mode (maybe my problem?). I don't have a macro lens, yet. Roses were between me and the morning sun, but from other angles they didn't sparkle.
Thanks,
Jessica
