Im in need of help. I know there has to be a way for them to stop firing randomly when I move them around. It seems like when they touch the stand they go off with the slightest movement. I want prevent this but, I have tried wrapping them around the flash and etc. Nothing seems to be working what do you guys do to them?

Sounds like you might have a bad set. The ones i had worked perfect and i rarely had misfires.

Beat me to it. It would be nice if the eBay triggers were as good as Pocket Wizards but they aren't. They are great for learning if you can live with the limitations.

The waste was buying cheap crap to start with, that's money down the drain. People rarely regret buying quality.

Thats a little harsh. 9 out of 10 people have had great results with the cheap triggers. Contact your ebay seller, tell them they are not working properly and give them the opportunity to make the situation right. I have the cactus PT-04 trigger and it works great, sure its cheap but it serves my needs for studio shooting. I probably wouldnt want to count on it for location work without a backup. If it ever does fail Ive always got a couple PC cables in the bag.

nah. poor man always pay twice. Invest in your equipment the correct way (even though it cost more) but you don't have to worry about problem like this. :)

I think 9 out of 10 is overstating it. They are cheap, and IMHO they are crap.

So how many cheap triggers have you bought. I think 9 out of 10 is generous. When things work properly for people only a few log on to praise the product. When someone has a problem they want every one to know about it. Just human nature, a person with a complaint bitches way louder than the happy camper in the corner.

Six transmitters, six receivers, half hotshoe half studio, purchased direct from GI. They had no aerial when they arrived, once I fitted them they worked fine in my house. They failed at wedding receptions, lots of misfires, not a clue why.

LOL yall guys are all right. But, why pay for something that does the same job? I understand quality is the key but, it doesn't hurt to try the cheap stuff and see if it suits you or doesn't. If we never took the time to play with a kit lens and just bought the best of the best we wouldn't know the difference or notice. Am I the only one that understands that? LOL I am not only confusing myself but others as well...

The kit lens is actually reasonably decent under most conditions. GI triggers... fairly random, with plenty of people saying they're perfect, and plenty saying they're crap.

Or maybe an auto-darkening welding helmet. ::lol:
