Nice! What did you meter off of? and are the reflections on the water real?

Thanks.
Reflections are real, but are blended in by some intentional over exposures I did. I metered multiple spots. Used magenta filter on some. Oh and I bracket just to be safe.
Mind you I was about 2 feet from lake Ontario and it was about -20, and stupid me I spend all this money on clothing and still don't have anything suitable for a Canadian winter. I don't actually remeber much, I was freezing, so I'm sorry if I forgot anything haha. No joking, it took me 15 mintues to regain feeling in my toes and hands. What we will go through to get "the shot".......

PR, How did you manage the fabulous deep blue sky, every city night shot I do is contaminated with a brown hue from the sodium lighting. Your sky is a wonderful velvety blue, go on, give us a clue.

Oh come on, making an artist reveal it all......... :D
I was there partying a week before and noticed it would be a great place to shoot. The docks on cherry. It's the lot where TSN's motoring 2005/2004 etc etc does its road tests. You need to do a bit of trespassing to get here.
I was using the FL filter to get the purple/pink/blue tint. The secret is to shoot at the perfect time. If you shoot too late it is absolutely black and you get the orange. If you shoot too early you get the sky to turn purple(FL filter). It looks good purple, but not what I was aiming for. You need to catch it about 5 mins before it goes completely black. I was there about 30 mins waiting for the right time. If you want a pan, you need to be quick, because if you wait too long between shots, one image will come out orange while the other is right.
BTW small aperture (20'ish) and around 25/30 exposure time. ISO 100 at I think around 30-40 mm...Raw, mirror lock, cable release. etc etc.

I know, I actually got lucky, cuz they are hidden behind the buildings I guess. I didnt touch anything.
If they werent there, I would have gotten a nice shot of the skydome too.
I did another panorama picture today, ill post that a litle bit later. It's not the same city shot like this one, but my critics(uncle and mom [both very good artists themselves]) like it as well.
I never used to post, but ill start posting especially now that I will soon have (not soon enough) an Arca Swiss large format and 19.1 mpx Digital back assigned to me for the next four semesters of school. :D

That is just an amazing shot. Have you considered selling prints? I could see that in a gallery.
