These were taken late at night (you get them when you can with an 8 week old lol). I dont have any lights or anything yet so these were just with the ceiling fan light and a bounced flash. Taken with my S5. Please let me know what you think!

I wanted something up at the top and all I could think of was this song...any better ideas?

Amazing how many different looks an infant can do without the photographer saying a thing. I like the ones that are taken from the side.

I've got an 8 week old too - so I know what you're up against.

These are very good - I'd do a little post processing and help even out the skin tone on his/her brow. My little girl has the same redness on her brow and it cleans up nicely in PS.

The tule is a great idea - I'll have to try that.

I got a nice quote for the wall of my little ones room: "Such a big miracle in such a little girl"

It's almost hard to do a newborn because they are so pink or yellow...and most times have skin rash. I took this one, bumpped up lighting a touch on curves, added a white vignette, bumpped up curves just a touch in the eyes, used the Diffuse Glow in the filter gallery to enhance the white just a bit. I also made one insepia with my conversion using just a little extra contrast. But overall, I really think it was a good shoot...I just like playing with images, that's all.

Maybe if the basket was a little bigger it would of help?? The baby almost looks too big for the basket. I think in this situation that the image I have played with below is your best angle shown.

Just a couple second play. Blur, levels, curves, dodge the eyes, desaturate, color balance, sharpen for web. Done :)
Black and white was just taking the color version, using a gradient map layer and messing with curves

Yea, I think you could snap 50 off in a row and he would have a different expression each time! Thanks for commenting.
