Hi everyone i am a newbie on the board and was browsing around for a bit and decided to post my first post :)

This is a picture that i recetly did - this is more of PP CC - let me know what you guys think.

I admire brutal honestly as without it i won't learn :)

First.this angle is making my neck sore;) Rotated it works much better.and I quite like the original better than the edits? Maybe a touch of light on her face and a pinch of sharp.a little shadows..easy stuff.

I agree the original is much better than the edits.
When you eliminate all of the shadows on the face it becomes very flat, and doll-like.
I agree the shadows aren't perfect, but you would be better off arranging them to a more pleasant position instead of eliminating them.

Thanks for the comments everyone i will try what you suggested tonight and post tomorrow the "new" edit :)

Yeah, I agree with what the first two said. But I like the look of the hair in the second one. maybe it's just slightly too much.

i agree with the above. the hair is cool in #2 but the uneven "lighting" on the face in 2 and 3 isn't good.

I like the hair in #2 as well. Also the eyes look better except for the pupils - they got brightened along with the rest and look milky. Irises look fine brightened. Best to leave pupils dark. So if you could put the hair and eyes (with dark pupils) on #1 it would look great.

One thing I am good at is brutal honesty!

No one has mentioned the huge dark shadow under her chin, lip and nose. Hard shadows look great on prize fighters but not on beautiful young women like this young lady is. Soften that main light up!

The shadows Benji mentioned don;t affect the entire picture to me..but now you have these edits that to me feel very processed....I still think less is more in the one. The rotation is much better for me though.

I think the untouched original is very nice. The heart of the matter here is the young woman, and I think your photo displays her beauty quite nicely. Also, welcome to potn!
