Hello, first real post here. I wanted to learn how to take a picture again before buying a DSLR so I got out my 23 year old 35mm and began to take pictures about 2 months ago.

Here is what I have to offer. Still learning PS so these are untouch:

You can get a deep fried hamburger here! ISO 400 Kodak

Here is a night shot, it amazes me how the film is much more sensitive than my eye, it appeared to be much darker in person! ISO 400 Kodak

Nice shots.

I'll be home for Thanksgiving, looking to take some pics then.

Very nice. It's not really that the film is more "sensitive", but that it has the capacity to accumulate light over time.

Why would you spend money on film and processing before buying a digital? I'm not following your logic.

Processing is a lot cheaper now then when I brought this camera 23 years ago. I get Crystal Archive at Sams for less than 4 bucks a roll and they put it on a CD for 2.50.

Plus, anything I do, I like to do it the manual way first, so I understand the concept. Then I feel like I'm not just doing it because someone told me too. No wasting time wondering why I had to take 4 shots to get the exposure I wanted.

I want to be a photographer, not just take snap shots and in my mind, I think if I can do it blind (I.E. film), and get good results, I should know how to do it that much better with a digital.

Kinda like doing math with a pencil before using a calculator, just in case the batteries go dead.

Plus, the fact that I already have the camera so why not use it.

I second rowdyred94... if spending money, why not invest in your DSLR?
