I really like your PP, although it was slightly overdone for my taste. I also have a redhead myself, and I was wondering how you brought out the red in the hair so well. I also like what you did with the eyes. Any info on your pp technique would be great as I am trying to learn more portrait style pp.

I did a few curves layers and dodged her eyes a bit.
That's pretty much it. Sorry I'm not much help, I just kind of do things and sometimes It comes out :)

I'm not sure if it's just my monitor (most probably is) but she has a cyan cast in the whites of her eyes?

She is a gorgeous little thing! The catchlights are amazing!

Yes the blue in the whites of her eyes is a sign of saturation boost in that area, there is a tutorial on here somewhere about dodging or saturating the eyes without getting the blue cast.

Yeah, I didn't notice until someone pointed it out. It's fixed now. I tend to over look those things. I think I could benefit from a checklist when editing photos.
Here's the new one. I took down the contrast and changed some other things.


The second one I ran an action on and really like the way it came out. Love the green it brought out in her eyes. Just had to share :D

love the last edit best. Gorgeous baby girl :) Great DOF use. Now advise me how you got her to sit still long enough to grab that shot? My 17 month old has become quite a challenge to photograph. My 8 year old was always so wonderful, and a photog's dream. This one has made me literally HATE portrait photography!

I wish I could help you out but I have no idea how I got this. Just kept taking pictures and was lucky enough to get this one somehow. She doesn't even look at me or the camera usually.
