Pretty Cool,

about a 42 min feature, would you do it if you have the choice or chance?

In a word, not after I had kids.

Before, at a young age, maybe.

I have thought about it and I think it would be something I would do.

Be tough though.

I admire those who can do it. I don't think I'd have what it takes.

If I was in shape enough to run, definitely would consider it - though looking at these images it'd be hard to even come close to matching there eye for anyone, not to mention there knowledge of knowing how to work in these zones. The guy seems to have the best images, missed his name. Wanted to see this when it came out but missed it and forgot about looking it up online till now, thanks for the link.

BTW, comparing war to weddings doesn't seem exactly tasteful to me. Downplaying peoples suffering and death.

You might want to edit your post. The owner of the lens in question was killed, along with a second photographer, when he was fired upon by a tank.

I remember seeing/reading of the event when it happened.

And regarding the topic -- I've got three sons: 2, 6, and 9 years old. No way I could do it right now. Before they were born, still unlikely. I have tremendous respect for those who can put themselves into those situations, but I don't think it's for me.

I plan on it: two more years left on my photojournalism degree, then join marines as combat camera, then use GI money to get a masters degree or just start working at a paper and do embedded photography

idbd - That was my first thought - what happened to the photographer, not the lens.
