Met up with a few friends at a race to try to get a few decent shots of them.
All shots with either 18-55 kit lens or 55-250. I definitely need alot of practice, keeper rate was horrid . All comments appreciated

I think there must be some secret to getting comments on here that we haven't figured out. I think it has to do a lot with the way you title the thread? I put up what I thought were some pretty good drag racing shots and got no comments. I'm no expert but I would say maybe a little more crop on the first couple and add some color saturation and contrast to them in photoshop.

crop 1 and 2 more 3 is not bad and I don't care for the vignetting in the last one

Slow shutters are over rated BTW. Look at images in MX mags and they vary between slow blur wheel look and faster like 800 which will give a much higher keeped rate! I think the look good, the KX image is a little hot!

Shooting MX at high speeds probably was due to using film in the old days, and the fact that alot of the editors didn't have much in the way of skills.

To me it just looks wrong to be able to tell what kind of tire a rider is using.
