They're all very nice and I love the concept in the third one. Is that a scratch on the baby's face? Maybe clone that out?

Nope, it's a birth mark. I asked the mother if she wanted it removed and she said no.

these are great. what did you meter your main and your fill at? And what did your background meter at. I love using my white seamless but it doesn't look as good as yours. When you say three lights on the back... was there one on the left and on the right and one coming from the top? And I love the last shot.... very creative.

I would have loved the last one so much more (still love it ) if the kids standing having fun , corresponded with their correct persona laying down if that makes sence ;)

Awesome, like the concept and the activity in the last one is a good idea. Mom just showing on the side also adds value. Good work.

The fill and main metered at 6.3, with the fill about 1-1.5 stops below the main.
The background was shot with 2 lights to the side and one mounted up top in the middle. They are only one stop brighter than the main and fill
The setup is just the floor and 2 walls painted white, I take a lot of the imperfections out in PP, like the crease where the wall and floor meet.
The floor in concrete painted white with regular white paint, and then coated with a gloss garage floor coating. It's a little to reflective for me. I will be using a product called "Tuff white" next time, it's still reflective but more of a satin.
Thanks for all the comments guys.

Great shots.
What size is your studio.
It's long and narrow, I would say 15' wide x 40' long.

Good to know.
I'm building a studio, it's around 15' wide, a tad more I think and can go to around 50'.
Nice to know for reference what can be achieved.
Thanks

Funny you should mention that, when I booked the session the mother was funny and said that she hopes they cooperate and if they don't she had corn puffs for them. LOL and then if they were good the would get a happy meal at McDonalds. As soon as I said McDonalds those kids put the biggest smile on their face....priceless. All I had to do was press a button at that point.

If you cannot paint the floor where you shoot, a 4'X8' piece of 1/8" clear plexiglass placed over the top of your background will cause a soft, suble reflection.

Very nice series of a good looking gang. Getting them all dressed the same works wonders and the setup is excellent. I particularly like that last one, great processing idea.
