I posted before that I was gonna sign up for the school's camera club and that would give me access to a Canon S9000. However, there seems like there's always a problem with it. Either the printer broke, or the computer is virus ridden. I'm sick and tired of this. When I get my $100 Gift Card from Bestbuy, I'm gonna buy myself an Epson R200. And maybe even a CIS system for it.... check out this huge thread!

tell ur club to stop using IE, and u will cut down on alot of the viruses. Use firefox. Tell ur supervisor to get the IT people to clean the computer or replace it so u can start fresh.....they wont want to screw ur learning. OR jus bring a laptop to school and skip the desktop.

Hehe. I know. I'm a geek. But they wont listen. I don't want to bother with it no more. The comp is fine now, I was considering bringing my laptop but it's the printer that's out of service.

Anyway, it's only camera club, not an actual class. Big difference. Student run, student funded. That's why it's so... uhm.. unstable lol. Not everyone wants to pay big bucks. Anyway, this CIS system looks bloody good :)

I didnt see anyone talking about print quality. I am using an  HP  right now. I bought it before I knew any better. It prints ok but very expensive. I would like to find one of these for it.

You don't need to switch browsers. Just turn on "block 3rd party cookies", and "prompt" to 1st party cookies. These options are made available with SP2. 99% of all cookies are unnecessary for browsing. They track your web usage and can be virus in nature.

ANY browser that accepts 3rd party cookies is open to unwanted performance.

Hellashot, the security flaws of IE go beyond cookies. Hell even IE's excessive popups annoy me these days, and block up poppers work terrible for IE as there are so many ways to get around them. Firefox is way better :)

KevC, definitly pickup a CIS system.....I have been considering to buy a good one for my i9900 but im worried it wont be as good as the official tanks. However I have tried the R200 CIS at a buddies place and it does a good job. I say go for it

Try taking a look @ the R800 instead of the R200. High quality prints color & B&W.

R800 is a nice printer yes, but it's way out of my budget.

I've asked around and I've been told a CIS system is not worth it if I don' t print SEVERAL times a week. That's crazy. I really doubt I'd be printing even once a week, let alone SEVERAL times a week. Photo paper is expensive!

Anybody here have a CIS system and print every week or two?
