Loose Lens?

I've had my G1 for about a week now, and I cleaned the lens for the first time yesterday. When the lens is fully extended, it seems loose. I can wiggle it just slightly. I can't see the movement as much as I can hear and feel it move.

Is this normal for everyone else, or is just my camera?

When extended the lens barrel and the front glass can move a bit on mine too. But I've noticed that the inner lens elements aren't attached to the barrel and don't move at all.
Since it's just the front glass I doubt the minute movement is much of an issue. It hasn't seemed to affect any of my photos (ie. distortion, vigneting, etc.)

I've just ordered a lensmate adapter if for nothing else than to be armor for my lens. . .just in case.
