did you try ebay? If ebay does not have it, i remember i had to buy a gear for my sigma lens from some company, they sell sigma parts. I'll look it up if i have it still.

Can't seem to find it on ebay. Even emailed Sigma but have heard nothing from them as of now.

Found it, here you, try these guys. I got my little gear for 28-300 sigma lens from them when no one else had it. Good luck, let me know if they got it! :)

Thanks! Got it ordered. But now I am wondering if there is a place to order the entire bottom shoe unit that comes off with the 4 small screws????

How much they charge you for the hot shoe?
Why do you need the whole bottom part? It's pretty easy to change the hot shoe!

I think it was $14 shipped. Just wondered if it would be easier to change instead of the hotshoe as C.R.I.S. said NO instructions, and no guarantee.

Ive got the same problem, but I am in the UK- anyone know of anywhere in the UK that does this.
Like others Sigma have failed to return any of my emails, and without them saying whether its repairable or not, my insurers wont pay out. :(

No, your not, there aren't any, I ordered from the states.
He ships to Europe, the process was very quick.
I had trouble with ordering from UK, France, Spain etc, so I used Michael Bass in the US.
If I needed stuff again, I'd use him.
Sorry for the confusion.

I think theres some sort of conspiracy here to make me buy a new flash.
Ive now emailed Sigma UK 3 times, Sigma US twice and Michael Bass Designs and not one of them have replied int he last week. :( This is getting ridiculous.

Wow that's odd. I purchased a replacement flash shoe/foot (Sigma 500 for Canon) from Michael Bass in January. He had replied back from my email inquiry within a couple of hours. You should try again or maybe check your spam folder if emails are getting blocked.

The Sigma foot plate for Canon and Nikon are prety easy to replace as long as you can use a small screwdriver, and you spread out a nice big towel so the dropped screw won't go very far when it bounces...

And there he is :). I have a question for you Mike, you've got connections maybe you can help me. I modded my 2 580ex, installed sync ports. On one of them, I broke the little switch that togles the Master/Slave/Off, the actual switch that is soldered on the board. Is there a way I can ge a new switch somewhere? Canon sells the whole board only. Hoping you can help. Thanks!

When I do a mod or repair for someone (and I was the first to add the Aux Sync Jack to these flash units about 3 years ago), and I find this switch is broken upon my initial testing, I have found it more reliable to send the flash off to Canon for the one price repair, and new warranty.
I haven't ordered this sub-board, and don't know the cost, even though it might be a more reasonable way to proceed at times!
BTW, I usually go by Michael :)

Thanks Michael,
I called Canon and they quoted me, if I remember, something like $175 for that board. I want to resolder just the switch, but need the switch...

I thought it would be a bit...the one price repair to fix most things except water or high voltage damage is often just $130 or so including the return shipping!
