Sun Coral

This is my first try focus stacking. I also played around with a lot of the tools in light room. I think I overdid a couple things, but I guess that's how you learn :)

This is 5 images stacked. Then I used the exposure brush to knock down the black background a lot and the rock a little. I brightened up the sand and turned down the purple and magenta. There was a little cyanobacteria on the sand and I wanted it to look more white. Then I increased the sharpness and did a whole lot of clone and heal to remove dust spots and shadows that showed up in the stacking process. After that, I added a bit of a vignette to it.

It seems a little flatter than I would like it. I'd like it to pop a bit more, but it seems that I lose the detail in the polyps if I try to enhance the coral any. Anyone have suggestions for that?
