I have been thinking about getting one for months. One problem is that I have never manually focused with an SLR camera. Is it easy?

Production costs are less than a dollar on that lens.
Worth is a philosophical term.
I have no clue about MFing with that lens.

Hmmm...............Its a novelty lens...........I'd rather do the effect in PS from a sharp pic.

yes... as long as you understand its a toy and should not be taken as seriously as half the uptight photogs on here and other forums can be about photography... it was designed because the inventor like his holga so much and wanted a way to do similar style photos w/ his digital camera.
heres some shots i took w/ one on my 10d: http://www.mikepanic.com/photos/lensbabies_lens_test_shots

No, you can do the effect in 10 seconds in photoshop..

Everyone is shouting a resounding no, but i'll point you towards msvadi, and recommend you look at some of his photos. He has recently posted some, IMO, beautiful shots with his lensebaby, and so i think if you like the effect, go for it. Nothing like it can be perfectly replicated in photoshop.

Not worth $100 or even $99.
Gimmick for suckers.

Well, in fact it's far less expensive than half destroying a lens with a hammer to get misalignment... :D
