i had a knock off for my a75. it was a 2x teleconverter.

it doubles you optical zoom essentially, however you cannot use your view finder and if you use a flash it causes a shadow becuase of the lens posistion.

I have the TC DC52 (2.4x) for my A95. I works great in good lighting.
Here is a sample shot from my A95 at full zoom and the 2.4x teleconverter. :D

Thanks for the comment Dave and for the great picture to prove the point. If you say 'good light', I assume that I could not really use the lens for night shots?

Thanks for the comment. I have seen some comments where it is mentioned that the lens does not interfere at all with viewfinder or flash. Could this be because a
x 1.75 was used?

Shipping may be a problem, but this works.

To those a95 teleconverter users, is it possible to get a nice blurry background with that lense ? Because as you know, it's almost impossible to do that with that type of low zoom camera. Thanks!!!

Another example:

Also with the TC DC52 2.4x converter, but with a PowerShot A75 (handheld)
