Very pretty woman. Lots of "curlz".

I like the shot a lot ..... except for the glasses coming across her eyes. She appears to have very beautiful large eyes but it is hard to tell with the glasses positioned where they are.

Possibly have her remove her glasses or reposition them??

Was this the fifty or the 85? Nice bokeh.

Tip? Ask her for a date. She's lovely!

Wonderful!

I simply love the background.

Only thing I think might be improved is that her glasses are too narrow for her face in my opinion.

But that's well out of your control, I assume.

Best regards,
Andy

Thanks guys.
That was just a quick snapshot taken with the Nifty Fifty and 420ex.
I am not a fan of portraits of people wearing glasses. But as mentioned, in this case it was just a snapshot.
As far as asking for a date thing, that won't be happening any time soon. See pictures below (boyfriend on left) hehe

She looks a lot happier with her boyfriend than when she was alone with you.

Re: glasses, when I shoot portraits I always ask if they wear them all the time. If they do, I deal with the relection problem and let them keep the glasses on. Sometimes I shoot them with and without the glasses and let them pick the shot they want on the LCD. They almost always want the glasses on.

Cool pic, I really like it........certainly better than snapshot quality. I like the glasses, although I wish they weren't cutting across the eyes as much. Funny her boyfriend looks like a guy I see here at work. Anyway, thanks for sharing!!

I really like the picture of them both together.

It has a very nice tonality.

Best regards,
Andy

Thanks guys.
Nat, you mention glasses "cutting across the eyes". That is what I hate the most too.
The reflections can be dealt with (although she must have anti-reflection coating), but when the frames hide the eyes, it's a darn shame. (btw, he works in Toronto).
I decided to post these pictures because, once again, the Thrifty Fifty shows it's quality in spades.
Speaking of lenses showing their quality, the photo below was taken with the Tokina 17mm at F4. The image was a little dark, so I had to recover with Photoshop. This resized image shows some banding, but it's hardly noticable in the original. It must have sometihng to do with the interpolation.
