He is precious. He looks similar to my best buddy, but about 5 years younger and a lot more fit, hehehe. I really like the pic too.

I see all of these other threads with pic of specific breeds and such, and have thought about starting a pitbull thread, or a bully breed thread, but never have.

I think the choke chains have a bad rep from improper use, if a dog is raised properly (calm and assertive) then it really doesn't matter what type of collar or leash you use, I have everything from a regular nylon collar, to a spike collar to the choke chains but if a dog is lead properly there is never any reason to correct so you could really use just about anything as a leash...rex is the man, he is the most chill dog, just follows the pack...btw I love the brindle boxers, they are gorgeous, post up a pic if you have one...

That's exactly why I don't like those things! Those and prong collars. To many people get those things expecting THEM to train their dogs instead of actually dedicating their time and energy on training the dogs themselves. I used to work in rescue and at local shelters and saw many injuries, scars, cuts, etc from improper use. Very hard to see these poor animals suffer through their "owner's" errors. :( I'm glad to hear that you take the responsible approach! :)

By the way, if this breed is banned where you are, aren't you afraid that they'll take him away if they find him? I don't know if that's how they handle this type of thing where you are or not. I've heard that in the US in California where ferrets are illegal if they find that you have one they take it away and destroy it. Not sure if it's true or not, but that's what I've heard.

Yea I hear ya on that, I am actually going to school to be a Vet (at Ross University) and my girlfriend who is also a student here (www.jaclynfrancin.com) has taught me a great deal about dog psychology...they are banned here but the ones that are here are legal...He was actually in a dog show held by the dept of agriculture not too long ago and won first place for the puppy class...they just don't allow anymore down here since they have a real problem with pitbull fighting here on the island...all think they are michael vick...its so sad to see...

The colors on your pit are gorgeous. They are banned here too but I sure do think they are pretty dogs.
