This is single 90 sec exposure in my unmodded 40D. (always remember to charge extra batteries and check the level of the one in your camera before starting :oops::oops:)

Adjusted curves slightly and ran a few Carbonis tools. (5 minutes work before I got too tired)

I would definitely like to get a bunch of subs and have a better go at it tomorrow if the skies still cooperate. I also will try to polar align better next time. This time I just did a rough alignment and forgot to do the precise alignment hence the bloated and trailing stars.

very nice shot .
i cant wait to see the neb again here in the uk at the presant time it is due south 5 in the morning . so ive git a little time to wait for the evening show.

Very nice John. Amazing for only 90 sec.

definitely take the time to get your alignment as tight as possible. Just like focus it's critical to image clarity and of course star shape. The color is looking great.

This forum is awesome. I tried my hand at astro once in the past, but could never really understand what I was doing. These photographs are nothing short of amazing.

You guys might inspire me to bust out my old LXD55 and give it another crack.
