Can anyone recommend the best, smallest Canon P&S. Which one has the best all around reputation for everything. I want one in my pocket at all times so its got to be small. Perhaps the SD 300? It would be nice to have at least a 4 mp as 3.2 is just a bit small I think.
Any ideas?

i have a canon s60, its 5.0mp shoots raw, fully manual as well as auto. And it is fairly small. The only thing i dont like about it is it doesnt take aa batterys.

I went ot henry's tonight and they just got in a Sony T33. I know, I know, its a "sony" yuk....BUT this was amazing!!! I shot it side by side to a A85 and and a SD300 and the difference was unreal. 0 shutter lag in the sony .....wayyyyy too much in the Canon....Nice big scrren on the back of the Sony and really small. FAST focus on the Sony...slower on the Canon. the price was 499 on the Canon....and 600 on the Sony but that instant shutter is NICE let me tell you!!

This may upset dedicated canon users :-) including me. However I second your opinion. I did used sony DSC P100 for a while & found it amazingly fast, instantaneous startup/focus/image recording/display. Even new S70 which is fastest in all S series is slow & hunts for focus in low light conditions, plus movie mode on canon digitals is hopelessly outdated. This makes me less fond of canon compact/ultra compact line up. With more serious camera's its altogher different story. Sony dosent competes even with my G3.

On reading these posts, I'd have to agree with the complaints about shutter lag.. it is pretty slow.. makes action shots difficult...
