Bird w/o Telephoto

In sub zero conditions this bird took to our heated bird bath then flew up and stuck to the fence. I got him off by pouring a pan of tapwater over him. After drying him off some I took advantage of the photo opportunity before opening the window for his escape.

What an extraordinry opportunity. The poor thing probably thought it was going to be eaten at any second.

I've never heard of a heated bird bath before, but I guess in certain parts of the world, they make sense.
