Have just had my first taste of motorsport photography spent sunday at Brands, picked worse day weather wise, wet all day, but got my pics. I am new to photography and this is my first attempt at motorsport.

I have attached some images from today, and would welcome any constructive comments on photos themselves and any comments on what I should ne looking at doing in photoshop?

Have tried paniing at different speeds, but not sure if any good?

Look forward to comments
thanks
Bill

im no pro but have learned alot off this forum and just getting out there with the camera..

you really could not have picked a worse day for starting out.. feel the bottom pic is better then the top , crisper and more feel of motion plus much lower shutter speed its ok..

see you have started right with Tv mode and are playing about with shutter speeds and iso speeds , just need to pit your own artistic feel into the pictures now , because they so look very bland weather does not help i guess..

you can post uptp 8 pics in one post btw

hope this helps a bit ... might get up there for the trucks this sunday if your about ill give you some pointers..

I used to be a photographer at Brands Hatch for 14 or so years.
You have done really well for a first time effort, and what with the weather being so bad as well!
With panning shots- get the car in the frame a couple of seconds before the position of where you want to take the photo. Click the shutter as smoothly as possible, but then after the shutter has come down still follow the car as smoothly again for about a second or so. You will need a nice smooth hip movement as well.

Good luck ; here is my link to some of my racing shots on Flickr
