They seem pretty underexposed? Also might want to try and keep all your eggs in one basket, you have i think 3-4 threads now all the same title? Stick your photos in the one thread make life easier on everyone! :D

That's poor advice. The forum rules allow a maximum of 2 attached images per thread...

Michael is right these look under exposed as well. I posted some comments on one of the others. Take a look. As for these, in the first one I can't focus on any thing. I like that you are showing racing but my eye is not draw to a particular car. It looks like two cars going by. (more of a snap shot rather than a photo). In the second one, parts of the car maybe in focus but in an open car in this composition I want the drivers helmet to be sharp. Now that may just be my opinion and others may disagree but that is what I want to see in a shot like this. If you will look close the nose is OOF, that tells me that the photographer wants me to see something else (i.e. the driver). Now had the nose been sharp my viewpoint on the image would have been different.

My bad Glenn,

I guess better advice would be to setup a smugmug or some other free online service to host the images and them embed them to the thread... thus keeping all his eggs in one basket!

How about a link to go along with that better advice?

Much better advice, helpful hints about which are given here http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=163130 ;)

Edit:  Jamie beat me to it, but my advice is more targeted ;)

Thanks guys, regarding focusing should I be using af of manual? as had on auto focus but as you say some areas out of focus? Agree some seem under exposed but was very dark and had to set iso as high as 1600 to get meter to accept as ok even at f4 ?

Really appreciate all the pointers

AF, you have the technology why not use it. the only time I manually focus is for macro work.

It is ok to under expose when you shot. You just need to bring it back up in post processing. I EC -1/3 to -1 all the time, especially if my subject is a white car. I just have to bring the highlights back in post. I am sure there are confilicting opinions on that one (but that is what make the world go round). :)

Manual or AF seems to be a personal preference. Guy I was talking too this weekend panned in manual, I tried but results weren't too hot but that was the first time.
Practice makes perfect and there are plenty of people on here who will offer you sound advice.
Did you have the camera set to A1 servo?

EC is Exposure Compensation. That means the you would under expose 1/3 spot in camera.
