Wow... so many pics! Too many to take in at once though sadly... and not much fun for those dial-up users... perhaps showing just 6 or 7 of your best pics would make it easier for us to give feedback and would satisfy the forum guidelines.

Great pics. Enjoyed the race on tv myself, except for the fact the #24 won. I'll be going to the night race at Lowe's here in Charlotte, NC this fall. I hope to have an L series lens by then.

gmen.........people still use dial up??????

There are a lot of wonderful shots in this thread. It's too bad that people with dialup connections may not live long enough to see them all. ;)

It really would be better to break this up into smaller threads with fewer images as has already been suggested.

I put the 56K warning in the title (truth in advertising, you know.)

Yeah im sorry for 56k'ers. I just posted what I thought covered the race in as little as possible. lol.

I took out some of the pics that weren't needed. Sorry for the big post.

Two thoughts on the 500....

I'm starting to become a fan of restrictor plate racing, and I still hate the new point system. (Also, why does Jeff Gordon seem like such a weenie? ----good driver, though.))

As much as I dislike Jeff gordon, he is a very good and consistant driver. At first I hated the new points system, but I think it is a good thing though.

Nice Photographs. My wife and I attend the March race here in Las Vegas every year. I hope that my pictures will turn out as good.

On another note. Why does everyone dislike Jeff Gordon so much. We are great fans of his, and Hendrick Motors, as well as some of the other drivers, but our dress for the race here is all Jeff Gordon all of the way. My wife did buy a Kurt Busch hat last year, because he is from here. We follow Kurt and Kyle Busch (local fan favorites) and we like Michael Waltrip a lot. But where Jeff Gordon is concerned, It's seem that fans either love him, or hate him.

Just wondering.

Hendrick Motor Sports has a very nice museum here in the Charlotte area. One of the nicer RACE SHOPS around. I live about 5 miles from Hendrick Motor Sports. Rusty Wallace and Mikey Waltrip are my 2 favorites. I got allot of pics from all the shops.

Thanx everyone!!!

And my thoughts on why no one likes Gordon is that he came into the scene very quickly back when he won alot, and he did just that...he won ALOT, and people just got sick of him.
He is a very good racer, and he has one of the strongest cars out there! The last few laps he amazed me as he pulled away from everyone!

That's my thoughts. I heard an interview with Rusty Wallace once, and that's why he said that he didn't like him at first. He came from a winning background (midgets, sprint cars since he was 9 I believe), and came to a winning team with strong cars, and won a lot. Rusty thought it was to much to soon, but at he end of the interview, he said that he was wrong about him, and now has nothing but respect for Jeff Gordon. Both as a race car driver, and as a man.

Lets face it, love him or hate him, he is one of the most respected drivers out there by the drivers, and he does his job, and for the most part without any rough stuff (Harvick, and Stewart).

Yes, it is deffinitly something to experience!! I would say that it is needed to be experienced one time in your life so you can get that feeling and just to be in that atmosphere.
