Hello, my name is Jack. I just joined here after hearing about this site on another forum. I currently have a Canon EOS 40D with the 28-135 kit lens. I've had it for about a year and love it, and I'm going to look into a new lens or two soon. Definitely looking to learn some new things a make some new friends!

My wife lived in center city Philadelphia for 4 years. I'd go back for the Reading Terminal Market in a heartbeat.

View the gear forums carefully, and with your credit card in another room. You do have an advantage on many, however, in that you've been shooting for a while before considering adding to your gear list.

Actually Jack, the best bet is to suspend your credit card in the center of a gallon bucket> fill the bucket with water> place in deep freeze until solid. Helps prevent impulse buying :evil:

Welcome to the forum. Here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=86975)is a link that it very helpful ( when you get ready to pick out your new glass). Here (http://www.photozone.de/Reviews/overview) is my favorite review site for Canon lenses. There are so many great things to shoot up there. you are in wonderful place to be a photographer.
