I figured since we've slipped from being the murder capital of Canada to second place it'd be safe to head out in the middle of the night with a couple grand of equipment and shoot the downtown core...the ones without the triangles were shot with a 30D/70-200 combo, whereas the triangle ones are courtesy of a 20D/Sigma 10-20 team.

I tried a few things (ie: reflections, no reflections, triangles - which are chunks of a roof for an indoor garden thing - and wouldn't mind some CONSTRUCTIVE feedback as to what you think works/doesn't work) :) Cheers! -T.

I'll probably crop most of the foreground off of this:

Cropping foregrounds eliminates depth of field, I think the last one is the best just how it is, maybe a cool contrasty B&W conversion would be neat

I would head out again and try it at dusk instead of at night. The sky is pretty dull and the orange glow doesn't help. Plus, your foregrounds won't be so dark.

Thanks for sharing though, I love Edmonton :)

hmm...dusk is not a bad idea :) I'll give that a shot :) I kinda like the orange glow and the foreground being just a silhouette, though...thanks for your comment :)
