Taken on 10/24 at Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ; used the XTi with the 70-200 2.8L and the 50 1.4

If anyone is wondering the WB was normal but I found myself messing about with sepia tones in post.

C/C appreciated:

Thanks! :)

ISO was at 1600 for 95% of the time and shutter ranged from 1/30-1/80; EXIF is intact if you want to know for a specific shot.

Not bad. I think the first two are the best. A couple of the others are a bit soft, but nice job.

#1 gets my vote.... nice crop, great sense of speed and motion.

Never really to bothered about drifting, but No. 1 is great, just a shame about those cones!

thanks everyone, appreciate the comments

Thanks. I think the softness is unavoidable; it's the nature of the beast with drifting anyway.. the cars travel relatively slowly and very nonlinearly. Combined with the slow shutter speed and small DOF/wide aperture needed to shoot at night, it's a challenge for sure.

Most of these are at ISO 1600 f1.8/f2.0 (too dark even for me to use the 70-200 2.8L!) and have been brightened considerably with ACR; I'd hate to imagine what it's like any worse :-?

I checked out some of your work on DA, great stuff :)
