Spotting scope adapter?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. I have a friend who has a Canon G-3 and wants to take pictures of birds through his Savarski spotting scope. I'm not sure which model he has or if it is straight or angled. I need some general information or links to get him started in the right direction.
