I have the Tamron, and I think it is a great lens. Tamron often has a rebate on it (I haven't checked lately), and KEH seems to almost always have one used (but not today). I got mine from KEH for around $750 used. I haven't gotten anything bad out of it that I wouldn't expect from any other 14mm - look out for flare from the sun, keep your fingers behind the built-in hood, etc.http://www.keh.com/shop/product.cfm?bid=CE&cid=08&sid=newused&crid=10096538

I use a 14mm f2.8 sigma its a cracking lens .
it does need to be handled with some care as the front bulbous ellement is unprotected without the slip on metal lens cap seems quite extreme on my 1Dmk2 the D60 is more normal looking.
i have just tonight put up some new stuff on my brand new gallery some there with this 14mm.
not the full size originals but pos good enough to se what it can do.

I use the 14MM f2.8 and love it. It is a little strange a s mentioned above because you cant put a uv protector on it and have to be very carefull. The lens is sharp and produces great results.
