Dance and concert photography is tough without fast lenses and a camera that performs well at high ISO. If you can't get your shutter down to around 1/160 or better, it will be hard to get crisp images. An f/2.8 zoom, or better yet a couple of f/2 or better primes will make a world of difference for you.

Nice set.
I don't mind the motion.

Good captures, good processing. You shot these with the 70-300? Respect.

I thought for what I have, the pics came out pretty good. That said, any lens with an f2.8 or faster would definitely be nice, just out of my budget range  . I was also stuck sitting from far away

Thanks! Yeah, 70-300mm, and the kit lens 18-55 IS are all that I have so far! Thinking about picking up the 50mm f1.8, might also be a good one to have on a budget.
