Just received the lens tube adaptor that I ordered for my S1. I opted for the solid aluminum "aftermarket" version versus the black plastic Canon version. I screwed on a UV filter and it makes the camera look really cool! The aluminum matches the rest of the camera pretty well and results in a bit of a "G" series look or "Baby DSLR" Best of all - I can use a "Real" lens cap without worrying about the original slipping off and my lens will be protected all the time.
It definately has added some size though -will be much harder to hide under my jacket - I will look like a kind of "reverse-hunchback" I guess - lol.
