First L lens is on its way

Well I did it (boy did that feel good) ordered my first L lens from B&H just now, could not take it anymore so I ordered the 100-400 f4.5-6L IS and the UV filter for it. would really be nice if it got here by Fri. have a wrestling meet for my son and would sure like to see how well it does. Would like to thank everybody for the input on the choices of L lens to start with. Thanks again

Congrats on the lens Rebel, I just got the 100-400 last week. Love it so far, and that most likely won't change. You might have to go with the flash for indoor unless they really light up the gym.

Not to scare you or anything, but try not to go wide open with that lens, it's kind of soft at F4.5.
