First attempt at derilict shots.

It almost looks like two different people shot these; the second one is great! I get this feeling people should be sitting there, depressed and lonely, even though they are together. The first one is just blegh.

Well, take a look at your second shot; you managed to make a boring subject interesting through your composition and exposure, which created an overall mood to the photo, which I described in my first post. The first photo also has a boring subject, but you didn't do anything unique with it; you shot the sink at a weird angle that throws the viewer off. You centered the subject, which is typically a big no-no, and you have no dramatic lighting in it.

Now that I'm looking at them on my own monitor, the second shot could stand to be a bit sharper.
