Can someone tell me how to set the display of a particular board to sort by newest post first. I know how to sort that way, I click the top of the column, but the question is how do I tell the thing to stay that way forever?
The board in particular I can't seem to make work the way I want is the Sell: board under Marketplace.
Thanks for any help.

The Sell board does that automatically but no thread bumps up.
Its that way to stop people making their sales keep appearing up top.

Yup,
I just read that about a page back from here.
I wonder if the mods could make that optional? What I mean is like an opt-in type of group, allowed to pick their own preference. I can understand why it is like it is, but I for one, like to see the changes as they happen. Especially in a board like "Buy And Sell". There's a lot of posts that are updated with price information, availability updates and they are things I would to be able to see first, or not. I know this is possible in SMF forum software, but no idea about vBulletin , anyway just thought I'd throw this out there.

The default sort order in the MarketPlace is by thread start. This is by design so that those who are more active in bumping their threads (which, while not allowed is not always caught) do not get an unfair advantage over less aggressive sellers.
As you have discovered the thread sort order may be changed to "Last post first" but this is a per user, per visit setting and returns to the default settings on the next visit.
There are no plans to change this at this time.

Thanks Skip,
Not a problem, it's become habit to click 'last post' when I open the page.
