Can anyone recommend a place to get my old black and white films scanned and digitized? I tried to bring some sample film to a Ritz camera and they ruined the negative.

I would suggest that you buy or rent a dedicated film scanner (NOT a flatbed scanner with an accessory) and do the job yourself. You can always sell the scanner when you're done with it (unless you rented it, of course ).

Renting a scanner sounds like a possibility. I didn't know they did that sort of thing. I can probably look into that. But if I don't find a place that rents, do you know of any place I can go to to have that sort of thing done? Does MPix do that sort of thing? I don't have very many negatives to convert.

FYI
Scanning of black & white slides or negatives is no longer offered. Orders which were placed with black & white media before July 15, 2008 will be processed at the indicated rate.

That's not good. I guess it was just not cost effective for them to do. Thanks for the info.
