I've taken a bit of a sabbatical from POTN, due to various reasons but I think that's over.

Most importantly, I'm still shooting!

Seems to have been a bit rainier than usual this year... Now that the regular season is over, I think it's going to be a cold playoffs.

These guys got Chicago's favorite singer, Wayne Messmer to sing the national anthem before homecoming.

I'll leave on one of my favorite fan shots this year. When I didn't pay them enough attention, the guy in the coconut brassier had the fan section chanting my name. I have to admit, that was fun.

I remember when Messmer was shot...

I also vividly recall the '91 NHL All Star Game and his singing of the Anthem!

Ah, good old Gately. I'm shooting 3 games there this weekend. Wayne Messmer has a fantastic voice and sings the National Anthem better than anybody out there! What Jay is referring to is that Messmer was shot in the throat during a mugging and sings as well as he did before.

I am shooting only one game as usual as I cover 1 school for the local paper, but will be first time I travel more than 30 min, coming from Rockford, into Mt Prospect.

Wish I could get an idea of what the stadium will be like at night.

Prospect will be interesting at night. I've not been out there this year, but unless they have put in new lights their field will be rather dark (As far as HS fields go) with a slight color shift from the lights. The past couple of times out there I think I've tried to use a custom WB.

how did you custom WB? I have a Whibal White Balance Reference Card but have not used it out doors yet.

If I remember correctly, last time I was there I had forgotten a card and instead shot a section of a white sign one of the cheerleaders had.

She held it up for me, and afterward I took a group shot of them. :)
