Hello everyone,
Snow Buntings visit us from the Great White North in winter. They are extremely difficult to photograph as they are doing constant aerials, flashing mostly white and blackish markings. I am trying to get closer shots because with the coming of Spring they will soon head up North again.

What focal length was this?

I am wondering if you could have gotten closer, but I know with flighty birds like this, you can't even sneak up on them.

I don't think we have those . . . so thanks for showing me something 'new.' A good shot in tough lighting conditions for sure. I know some of snow as well, it is not as if you can walk up to them . . . lol. Waist high snow and all, nice catch.

Cute little dickens aren't they! Thanks for posting. I've never seen one in person :)

Now get back out there with a white blanket over your head (arctic camo) and get closer!

Don't let them turn your mustache white like they did mine . . . they will come to you in time, lol.

Thank you fellows for your comments. Mr. photoguy I was at max 300mm here. If I get lucky with closer shots I will post it.
Thanks again
