OK now i been looking and seen some good posts with links .......

right so i think i have a basic understanding of what needs to be done , but the problem is how lol

OK I'm using a filter and 24/105 on a 40d so OK i take a photo and everythings red

so i have taken a photo of some nice green grass and set the w/b to that ...and take another photo and i get all red photo

so help lol

the problem is i think i just now confusing myself ...... so do i take the photo of the grass with or without the filter .......as some sites say with ? how ....

if anyone can help please do ...... thanks :confused:

What filter are you using? Are you adjusting the Red and Blue channels in post processing?

and yes try-ed that but what i get out the camera seams wrong compared to what other sites say

i could just be missing something .....

OK this isn't a well composed crisp photo but shows what i mean IE all red lol

OK thanks for that but as someone else says I'm using the corking filter same as them as still all red photos lol

i need to think about this again............. sure I'm not doing it wrong

What happens if you set the camera to record in B&W instead of colour?

Most IR filters still let a little red through, so they will have a red cast to them.

I just shoot or PP them to BW.

As CannedHeat said those don't look "classically" IR to me, the foliage is way too dark. That could be due to PP though (if you did any)
