Steve Albini's always been a straight-shooter, and he continues that to this day...for Shellac's closing set of ATP day 2 (well, not counting Lightning Bolt's set on the floor which started at around 1AM...) it was a no-nonsense approach w/ lights up high, three guys in a row at the front of the stage, and brutalizing rock. they were damn funny as well; the Q&A stuff between some of the songs was great.

shellac are so overlooked here in Australia and I cannot think why given how much Albini has given to modern music. I can't think of a single time i have heard them on JJJ and it is supposed to be the alternative, ground breaking youth radio station? pffft.

great photos champ, what lens?
