After years of not doing it...I have decided to start offering my wedding clients a high end leather bound album. I have decided on a brand and style and ordered a 10x10 and a 5x5 album as "samples". The first client I showed them to just loves them but wants something between those sizes. Yes they make a 8x8 album but I did not order that size as I thought either large or small would cover any intrest...I was wrong! I don't have a problem ordering that size but I didnt want to complicate things by offering to many different sizes and options.

So now my question is....what size album do you sell the most of?

Thanks,

Tom

I sell mostly 14x10" Queensberry albums, and many customers get the 5x7" parents albums that are a copy of the main album. I also sell a few 15x12" albums, but i'm replacing that with an 18x12" albums as I like the width/height ratio better.

All of my albums are landscape, I don't like vertical.

Tim, when you sell an album...do you pick out the images or do you allow your client to choose. Also who choses what size and shape of mats go where? (if you use mats)

I sell the 14x10" 20 page album as my base album. I predesign the album with the images I like, as many pages as I need to tell the story. My customers get to change it however they like, which often involves removing pages, though the albums are almost always larger than the size in their package. I tell people the package is a base and that 99% of people add more pages. I do mostly matted albums, I choose the design, but I work with the customer to get what they want.
