canon 24-70 f/2.8L price drop - mean anything?

ive been in the market for this lens for a while... and i have nearly enough saved up from istockphoto.com to pay for it - just checked keh.com adorama.com and b&h.com and all have slashed prices down a few bux, most selling @ $1135 now. mean anything to anyone? this is the one lens that seems to never go on sale, and now it is?

B&H has it for the exact same price I paid back in December (before rebate). No, I don't think any flicker in the price means anything.

I'm sure they're coming out with a replacement as I JUST got mine this week. ha ha. I did notice that and was quite happy to see the price change just in time for my purchase.
