Last weekend, we went to the Distillery district in Toronto. Here's one shot which I liked; C&Cs welcome.

Excellent shot. Great use of shadows and B&W.

Thanks everyone.
Now, would you believe that I did not think too much of this shot, and in clearing out the import session for the day, I actually deleted the .raw file, so all I am left is the B&W jpeg?

Did you import it onto your computer before the delete? If so, check your trash/recycle (depending on your platform)... it may still be there. If not... too bad! This is a nice shot!

Ooooo that sux about the lost RAW.
I don't do it, but backing up photos is pretty easy with an external hardrive, but im speaking purely out of ignorance from my own part.;)

Actually it is my workflow (I'm using apple aperture)- I don't want to keep too many .raw files around, so I usually export the full size jpegs of pictures that are good (but not VERY good) to re-import them into the library before syncing the vault (external storage). The pictures I deem very good I will keep the .raw files though.
Maybe I have to reconsider this.

I do almost the opposite. I have a whole load of RAWs that are okay, but not award-winning shots that I *might* get to one of these days to play with some post-production to see if I can make art out of garbage... heh heh heh
That said, it's time to do some fall cleaning on my hard drive. I'm getting a little squeezed for space.

Yeah, but typically shooting 2-3GB per day, even huge external hard disks (I'm on a portable machine) will fill up pretty quick. And then there is a need for backup, which means doubling the capacities required.
Times like this I am glad I don't have to deal with raw files from 21MP sensors.
