Does anyone have experience with this lens ? I search the forum but didnt find too much information about this lens. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

Sadly there's not alot around on this lens.It does look very interesting being SO tiny :)
From the little bits of info i've picked up it's not really much better optically than the 28-300 version (?).
It seems most saw that the 28-300 was quite good so instantly chose that instead

The general thing about superzooms is that the image quality is right on the borderline of what is acceptable to most people .
Many will say 'quite good',others will say they're cr*p.
My experience with several different ones (incl the 28-300 XR) is that i first look at my pics and think 'hey, not bad!'
....then later on i start seeing faults like mudiness at wide apertures, subtle bluriness, too much crude looking saturation, too many blured shots at the long end from camera movement due to the small maximum aperture, etc
I get some very good shots but not as many keepers as one would expect

I hope i'm not turning you off them though. Depending on what you expect of them they can be a really handy option!

So far i've only found one gallery with 28-200 xr shots. Some pics in here are with that lens. It's bit hard to tell much though because it looks like he's doing NO post proccessing at all-the images look like they're straight from the 300D with default settings so could be greatly improved with some contrast and sharpness
